Es una serie que consiste en fotografías de unas esculturas temporales, realizadas con aquellos objetos cotidianos que se acumulan día a día en el espacio de trabajo. Por una parte, el acto de archivar y coleccionar remite al tiempo, a ciertas obsesiones repetitivas. Por otra el hacer con ello objetos como las plantas transforma su significado y redefine los objetos, convirtiéndolos nuevamente en objetos cotidianos. El proyecto juega con el tema mismo del archivo poniéndolo en primer plano al hacer una taxonomía del jardín, al estilo de una expedición botánica.

 

"Ornamental Garden" In this series Jairo Llano explores the repetition of daily elements that are eaten or bought, or even of places visited in the day to day. Ornamental Garden is a photographic series that consists of temporal sculptures made out of those everyday objects that accumulate from day to day. On one hand, the act of archiving and collecting refers to time, to certain repeated obsessions. On the other hand, transforming these objects into plants changes their significance and redefines the objects, converting them once again into daily objects. The project also plays with the archiving theme by putting it in the foreground and by making a taxonomy of the garden, somewhat like a botanical expedition.
