Digital photography is painting

In the XX Century, great photographers pop up by copying classic paintings. With digital photography, many painters begin to copy the photographic effects, pretending they are creating new abstract art.

Why is painting effects more important than showing directly from the digital file?

My recent project creates new images between the photographic idea of light, mechanics, and time in contrast to paint, brushes, and effects that turn these files into abstract and pictorial artworks.

"Shades of landscape" is a curatorial selection of images I have taken with my phone, and treated as long exposures and multiple exposures to get blurry and colorful abstract files. My interest is to work with photography taking the language of the abstract painting and create an emotional experience on the spectator. The viewer could complete the figurative referent in case they want it, but they can still enjoy the presence of color and light, and movement on every piece.
